PayPerHitPR: Step-by-Step Process
- Sign Agreement
You’ll begin by signing a simple contract to get started.
At PayPerHitPR there are no monthly retainer fees however there will be a small onboarding fee to begin our journey. - Game Plan Development
Together, we’ll create a custom media strategy, identifying your goals and ideal shows or outlets. - Pitching Begins
I begin actively pitching you to producers and media outlets. - Booking Notification
As soon as a producer expresses interest or a spot becomes available, I’ll contact you immediately. - Payment Process
- If you’re available and accept the booking, payment is required before the booking is confirmed.
- For same-day (“day of air”) bookings, you may confirm payment via email.
- Cancellations or Turn-Downs
- If you turn down a viable offer and rescheduling isn’t possible, a 25% fee will apply (may be waived in special circumstances).
- If you cancel after confirming, a small fee will apply.
- Airing Guarantee
- You only pay if your segment airs.
- If the segment is bumped due to breaking news and does not air, there’s no charge.
- If your segment is preempted but airs in select markets only, 75% of the fee is due.
- If it airs but not in major markets as expected, 50% of the fee applies.
“Most PR agents charge monthly retainers that can run into the thousands. I only get paid when I land you a direct booking.”
“If you’ve got a great story or you’re a strong expert, the media will take notice—print, TV, and beyond. In my experience, once your first spot airs, more opportunities start rolling in. I’ll also be actively pitching you to other shows and sending out press releases to build momentum.”
“This is my expertise and we will go over the pros and cons of each opportunity.”
“If you land a morning show like Today, they’ll usually want an exclusive—but don’t worry, we can often still book you on evening programs like Nightline or others that don’t conflict.”
“Yes, it is hard for me to track my pitches once they are out. This would be an exclusive agreement with Pay Per Hit PR.”
“You send them to me to handle. Once you sign with me, my contact goes on your website.”
“Most likely yes, it depends on the scenario and would be evaluated on a case by case basis.”
“Then you are obligated to pay me on the Rates scale.”
“Yes”
“Yes, many book publicists come with the publishing of a book, but they are usually in charge of book store signings rather than show appearances. I would suggest you check with their policy.”
“It’s ok to have an agent, yes but I would let them know of your plan to sign with PPH.”
“The contract will be exclusive for 9 months with extensions. That means if you are called directly for PR after the contract is up, I still expect to be compensated under our agreement for 6 months after expiration. If you get booked to do a show that may take a long time to produce and air, i.e. Dateline or 60 Minutes, this will be included in the extensions.”
“If that is your goal, and I help you accomplish that, then I would be compensated. I am a full blown Management LLC with experience working on those deals. I would have you fall under the TurkTV Management contract. I will sign you up, do your contract and the fee is 10% of your gross earnings.”
